Exhibition: Jim & Sue Heemstra

Iowa artists Jim & Sue Heemstra will takeover the grounds of Art Farm Iowa with their colorful ceramic totems and sculptures.

Jim and Sue met in the early 1970s in college where Jim’s focus was on printmaking and Sue’s on painting.  The years that followed necessitated practical employment, but also allowed time for creative development.  Jim and Sue traveled as much as possible becoming museum nerds in their mutual love for art history.  Although Jim and Sue work side by side in their shared ceramic studio, full collaboration seldom, if ever, actually happens.  Each follows his/her own distinct path using their individual “language” of expression. 

This exhibit runs from May 29^th thru November 15^th, 2026.

·         Thursday, Friday, & Saturday – 10 AM to 7 PM

·         Sunday – 10 AM to 5 PM
