Art and the Earth: A Community Workshop

Join Clear Lake Arts Center for “Art and the Earth:  A Community Workshop,” on Saturday, May 16, from 10 AM to 12 PM.  This creative, hands-on experience is inspired by the exhibition Iowa Justice, Iowa Earth:  The Paintings of Madai Taylor. 

Drop by and explore the exhibition, where Taylor’s work invites viewers to move beyond recognizing objects and instead explore ideas and emotions.  These abstract works are rich with movement, color, and energy.

Then, gather your own inspiration and journey to the Central Gardens of North Iowa to create.  Using natural materials, you’ll experiment with texture, rhythm, and line. Creating earth-based paintings that reflect your own connection to place and environment.
