Civil War Reenactment: The Seven Days Battle, VA
Description
The Seven Days Battles (June 25th thru July 1st) were a decisive series of six major engagements fought new Richmond, VA, during the American Civil War. Confederate General Robert E. Lee successfully halted Union General George B McClellan’s advance on the Confederate capital, Richmond.
There will be free education, infantry & artillery drills, battle & medical demonstrations, a Period Ball, reenactors, and food vendors onsite. Camps are open all weekend to talk to the reenactors.
Schedule as follows:
- Friday, September 18th: 8 AM to 8 PM – Confederate Camp Set-Up and Registration | 9 AM to 3 PM – School Day | 4 PM to 6 PM – Open Camps
- Saturday, September 19th: 7 AM – Reveille | 9 AM – Camps Open to Public | 1 PM – Battle & Surgical Demonstration | 3:30 PM – Auction | 6 PM – Supper | 8 PM – Military Dress Ball at Band Shell | 10 PM – Night Fire | 11 PM – Camps Closed
- Sunday, September 20th: 7 AM – Reveille | 9 AM – Camps Opens to Public | 9 AM – Period Church Service | 10 AM – Artillery and Infantry Drill | 3 PM – Camp Closes
