FY25-26 Marketing Grant Now Available
Planning an event, tournament, convention, or activity that draws visitors to Mason City? Now’s your chance to enhance your marketing efforts with financial support through the Visit Mason City Tourism Marketing Grant Program! Applications are now open for the 2025-26 funding cycle, offering reimbursement grants to help promote events and attractions that bring out-of-town guests to Mason City.
Why Apply?
This grant covers up to 50% of eligible marketing costs (up to $1,000) for projects aimed at attracting visitors from beyond a 90-mile radius. Whether you’re promoting through print ads, social media, websites, billboards, or direct mail campaigns, this program offers a great way to stretch your budget and increase attendance.
Important Deadlines
- Round 1: Applications due 4 PM on September 30, 2025 for marketing projects completed October 1, 2025-September 30, 2026
- Round 2: Applications due 4 PM on January 15, 2026 for marketing projects completed March 1, 2026-September 30, 2026
Eligible Projects
Marketing materials like brochures, posters, websites, and social media ads targeting out-of-town visitors. Billboards, trailblaze signage, and wayfinding tools that encourage tourism. Shuttle services for tourists or transportation between event locations. Welcome reception food and non-alcoholic beverages for out-of-town guests.
Grant Details
- Minimum Request: $100
- Maximum Request: $1,000 (in $25 increments).
- Applicants must provide a 50% cash match for all awarded funds.
- All grant-funded projects must include the Visit Mason City logo or the tagline, “Sponsored in part by Visit Mason City Iowa,” with a link to www.VisitMasonCityIowa.com.
