Prairie Rock Trails Bike Park: Phase 1 Now Open!

Mason City is proud to announce that Phase 1 of the Prairie Rock Trails (PRT) Bike Park is now officially open! Riders of all ages can experience Iowa’s first world-class mountain bike facility right here in River City.

Located at 1500 Elm Drive, next to the scenic Lime Creek Conservation Area, Phase 1 introduces exciting new features including a Pump Track and a Kid Zone—perfect for families, casual riders, and young cyclists eager to learn.

And the best part? This is just the beginning. Construction is already underway on two hubs and additional pump track sections, with completion anticipated this fall. These additions will bring even more thrills and challenges for bikers while strengthening Mason City’s reputation as a premier outdoor recreation destination.
