Community Input Needed: Help Shape the Future of The Music Man Square

In 2027, The Music Man Square will celebrate a remarkable milestone—25 years of preserving and promoting Mason City’s rich musical heritage. As this anniversary approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect, re-engage, and look ahead.  

We’re inviting community members, visitors, educators, performers, and supporters to share their thoughts through a brief community survey. Your feedback will help guide future programming, exhibits, educational opportunities, and events as The Music Man Square continues to grow and serve as a vibrant cultural destination.

Complete the survey by February 25th and you’ll be entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see the Broadway production of The Music Man at the North Iowa Auditorium on March 3rd or 4th—a fitting way to celebrate Meredith Willson’s enduring legacy.

The mission of The Music Man Square is to promote, preserve, and showcase the legacy of Meredith Willson—Mason City native and composer of The Music Man—while also advancing music, supporting music education, and serving as a center for music events and community connection.
